    Expand Audio/Video for Splits.

This will expand the audio in the primary that only have split edits on them.

I mapped it to control-option-s, but perhaps you might like the FCPX sucks key. YMMV as they say:

That’s a helpful one. I mapped CMD-SHIFT-S for Collapse All Clips. Hope that helps, too!

Completely don’t understand why expand video/audio are in two different menus, and why Collapse is where it is and why it isn’t a toggle. The menus in FCP are a real mess. Clip, Modify, and View seem to have functions randomly placed in them.

    All the best,

    Tom

If you use the “only splits” command, control-s will collapse.

    You use menus???? 🙂

I mapped 2 and 3 to expand collapse tracks

it much easier to have as a simple shortcut

    Totally agree.

If you use multicam, the angle switch is mapped to the number keys.

Not that it can’t be changed. 🙂

I wish there was a keyboard shortcut combiner.

Every time a new release comes out with new features, there are new default shortcuts. If you have a custom set going, those new shortcuts are left blank. Itd be nice if something could populate my current custom set with the new shortcuts, but leave my custom settings in place. I smell an app opportunity!

    Now that makes no sense.

I keep being asked where things are.

    Command-option-k and search!!!

Just kidding. I hear you. I don’t use menus though, at least if I can help it. The scopes option menus drive me nutty. I want to be able to select RGB parade with a shortcut.

    Jeremy,

I vote you hire a programmer. To help, I’ll cede you my instant name idea “KMC.”

    short for Keyboard Musical Chairs.
