    This may be documented, but I just accidently found it.

    Often I’ll have a reference clip with a non-standard amount of pre-roll. I would usually determine the offset amount, subtract that number from 1hr, and then change the cimecode of the offline clip in the media pool.

    EASIER WAY

    In the media pool, select the clip scroll to the first frame of picture, and THEN change timecode to exactly 1hr. Resolve sets the timecode on that frame, thus building your offset.

    Very cool.

    Yup, the same as I do. 🙂 Found it by accident I think. Well, I was looking for it, but happy to find it.
