well first off, high to all the formual 1 fans in the forum, and second I apologize sincerly for not beingable to find a clip of this to show.

The intro for formula one this year gives the image a “filmscratch look” now you say, easy, scratch the film (or not as it costs a pretty penny if you screw up) but it’s all shot on (wqhat i assume is) hd brodcast if not standard brodcast camera’s like any sporting event.

Now here’s what i can guess they might have done after several looks.

It almost apears if they took a white peice of paper, drew a whole bunch of lines on it and then scanned it in, and used some sort of blend mode. now I guess this for several reasons, (and there in lies the problem but i will get to this) the fottage is slightly dulled as if a sheet of paper (or white solid) was added to the layer. but then i come to the problem, of how would these “scratches” apear brighter (gamma wise)

so basiclyt the general looks like this

    Scratches
Additive layer (possibly containing the scratches but as above im not sure)
    footage

any help would be much apreciated, I’m trying to replicate the style for a class project.

    Thanks in Advance
