Is there anyway to format an external hard drive (Iomega Prestige USB 1.5TB) to both read AND write on both a Mac and a PC WITHOUT a file-size limit? I formatted the drive on my PC and had no file-size limit, but I could not write files to it on a Mac. I formatted the drive on a Mac as MS-DOS and I had a file size limit of 4gb. Anyway around this?

    I’ve loaded NTFS-3G from https://www.tuxera.com/

This freeware enables OSX to write to an NTFS formatted disc. It’s a bit slow, perhaps the full version is faster, anyway it works very well under my Leopard.

There is a great free program called Macfuse which lets a Mac read and write to an NTFS drive. It works flawlessly and very quickly.
