  Formats for FinalCut

  I shot some footage on a Sony Z1 and imported it as M2T. That format wouldn’t import to FinalCut. We tried MOV, but there wasn’t a 1440×1080 option. I tried two M4A options. One generated readable files, but without an image. The other had 4 file format options including M4A and M2TS, with the default M2TS. When I changed the output encoding to M4A, an attempted render would crash Vegas immediately. What formats are recommended for import to FinalCut or Premier, assuming starting with M2T at 1440×1080, 29.97FPS?
