  • Format in exFat not possible on SOME windows7 ?

I am trying to format my ssd cards on a windows 7.

According to the BMCC manual this is possible, only in the format window I can not get the exFAT,

I have tried this on 2 different comuters with the same windows 7.

To my surrprise I tried it on an older computer just now with also windows7 (think its the same win7) and strangely I was able to choose exFAT on this computer…..

Any one any idea how I can enable exFAT on all my computers as this will be especially handy for my labtop while filming on loacation….

Were the SSDs originally formatted on a mac? If so, I think I read once that Windows 7 can’t reformat in that case. Google exfat windows 7 and see if that pops up.

    They where formated on windows7.

I have three windows7 comps and even one XP, even the xp does not format it. Only one of my windows7 comps does the job…..

I am happy I get it doone of course, but just wondering… why.

On google search seems lots of people have the problem and have all kinda weird tricks around it, but acording to BMCC manual its just supposed to work!!!!

I feel your pain. PCs cab be very unpredictable. We sell a baseball training CD-ROM for kids called Where’s the Play? and occasionally it doesn’t work on Windows 7. The same disc does work on other W7 machines. Go figure. My only thought is there some bit of code on the computer that doesn’t work that interacts poorly with WTP.
