    Hi Guys,

I have about 50gb of XDCAM HD rushes, ingested with FCP which the client wants to view on their PC. (I do not have the bpav folders)

I have experimented with full res h264.movs on several PCs in both QT and VLC but am getting slightly choppy playback.

I need/want to deliver it in as high quality as possible but primarily it needs to play well!

Any suggestions as to the best codec/container to use to achieve this? Even on a fairly slow PC..

    Thanks.

If it is for preview purposes only, mpeg4 at 50% resolution, should work on a PC. We shoot HD XDCAM, convert to ProRes for edit and output to any format needed. PC is going to want mpeg4, wmv, avi, etc, which means encoding via Compressor . . .

Thanks guys, went with .movs in the end at 50%, did a few tests, all seems to be fine. Going to send the full res ones too so if they are needed for anything other than viewing they have both anyway..
