I was working with some standard SD footage. I cut the sequence in half after the edit because it was otherwise too big to fit on a DVD. Now one half looks good, but the other half is showing up squeezed, both on the timeline and on the DVD. It appears to have somehow changed (on the canvas) from 4:3 to letterbox. How can I get it back to regular 4:3 ?
    Thanks

Is your footage anamorphic or 4×3?

Cool. Then what it sounds like is that you have one of your sequences set to anamorphic. Whatever sequence is letter boxed, hit command-zero to being up the seq. settings. Uncheck the anamorphic box. You can then select all the clips and then right click and choose remove attributes. Click the distort box and hit okay.

If any of your clips are still frames or other non standard media, you might have to recheck those clips as FCP automagically distorts photos and movies to conform to the aspect ratio of the sequence.
