I have16GB of ram in my PC currently, and 10 of that 16 is allocated to After Effects upon opening the program. When I am attempting to preview the comp I cannot hear any music due to After Effects only using 100 – 1000 MB of the 10,000MB it has to work with. My question is; how can I force After Effects to use more RAM.

    Program: After Effects CC 2015
    RAM: 16GB
    Allocated RAM: 10GB
    CPU: AMD FX-8350 8-Cores
    GPU: AMD R9 270X Dual-X
( I know it’s not the greatest for editing and what-not, but it works )

Huh. Try the Preferences and see how kuch it’s set to use when you playback. If it’s showing 10gb allocated ram, then perhaps it could be something with your computer? Setting priority to high?
