    Hi there,

pretty new to vegas, and have pro 9…. i have a shot of a moderate pan across left to right… the shot looks fine, but i have to zoom in slightly (you can just see the wind sock in the top left of the frame !!). So i have gone into ‘pan & crop’ and zoomed in just a little. On then reviewing the shot on the timeline, as the camera pans the image goes all jiggley (like its an interlacing problem)Go back into pan & crop and undo the zoom, and no problem…. i guess there is a setting somewhere i not using… the footage was shot in 1080i HDV with a Z1, and the project properties are set fine to that footage.

I have rendered out the clip (just to check the error trasfurs to DVD – and it does).

    Any help please

    Regards
    Martin

Martin, go back into Pan/Crop and raise or lower it by one line.
What’s happening is that you’re changing the field order by being on the wrong line.

In the Pan/Crop window, change the Y Center value.
I’m not sure what value would correspond to one line so all I can suggest is changing it 0.5 units at a time, render a short segment and try it.

When you said: “(you can just see the wind sock in the top left of the frame !!)” I thought that you wanted us to look at the problem footage.

Ah, no – I was just explaining that that was the problem I had and the reason I was needing to crop into the shot. Regards Martin.
