I’m trying to take some footage from Final Cut Pro (DVCPRO-HD) from the Mac and use it in After Effects CS3 on the PC. I’ve tried openning the source footage on the PC but it comes up as just a white screen (it recognises the length and size etc).

Anyone have any idea how I can fix this?

    Thanks

The DVCPRO HD codec is Mac only. Sucks I know, but that’s the way it is. Your only option is to convert it (on your mac) to a different codec that is cross-platform.

You can download the Blackmagic codec from the Blackmagic Design web site for free, Which provides great quality options. The Sheer codec is supposedly great (and provides smaller file sizes), and there are a lot of other options out there.
