Capture first, then burn to DVD the quicktime files.
If you record directly to DVD, such as through a DVD Recorder, you’re going to compress everything to MPEG-2 format. That will take your 5:1 compressed DV format and make it about 25:1 compressed MPEG-2. In other words, making your DV quality drop by a LOT.
If you want to avoid capturing, switch to a hard drive acquistion on the camera such as P2, FireStore, XDCAM, etc….
