Hi I’m using premiere pro 2.0 on windows XP. I recently had a request to capture 3-hour-footage and get it to the client in quicktime format, unedited, so it’s pretty much just the identical copy of captured footage only in a different format.

I’m wondering if there’s a quick way of capturing the footage straight to quicktime format? At the moment I’m still stuck with capturing the footage as avi in pp2.0 and converting it to quicktime…. which takes a loooooong time… not to mention breaking them up to fit in DVDs as data. So I’m open to suggestions to a quicker and more efficient way.

I thought avi should open in quicktime anyway, coz I used to use Final Cut Pro, and what I remembered is that mac would capture the footage as avi which would be played in quicktime as a stand alone movie file, but I’m not so sure if the footage is captured in PC. Last time I tried playing an avi that was of a PC origin, it played in windows media player (mac version)… so I’m confused.

Thanks a lot for the help 🙂
