Fonts not showing up

just some of them. I know I can’t turn some fonts into 3d text but I am missing a lot of them that are in my font folder

10.5 can’t use a lot of fonts. 11.5 does much better and will work with many of the fonts that did not work in 10.5. Some fonts still won’t work though, particularly 3rd party free fonts. If you really want a font and have Illustrator (or some vector program) that will open the font you can always save the font as splines and import.

Awesome. I have illustrator but don’t know much about it. How do I save it as splines? Thanks a lot for the help

•just create the text you want in Illustrator
– size does not matter much (but it does make a difference), you can scale it when it gets into C4D
– C4D will use Illustrator’s origin (bottom-left) as the origin of the text when you import it so you probably want to put the text in the lower left corner before you save.
•with the text selected choose Type/Create Outlines – this is the bit that turns the text into splines
•then save it to an Illustrator 8 file
– save to an Illustrator file but in the second save dialog “Illustrator Options” choose Illustrator 8 for the Version
•Open (or Merge) into C4D

hi, i have a problem. my fonts in cinema 4d doesn’t open.
any of them. when i click on fonts nothing happens.

i haven’t heard of no font’s at all showing up, only just some of them. But you haven’t described much, what system are you on? What version of C4D? Where is this “Font’s” button (in what object)?
