  fonts not showing up

  working with photoshop cs on mac g5… when i go to choose a font, the fontlist only goes from “a” to “m” fonts, then skips to the univers font. i’ve tried trashing both fontbook prefs and cs prefs. any clue what might be going on? i have about 650 active fonts on computer. thanks in advance…
