Fonts
I downloaded a new font into my font book (OSX) and I see the new font in my font list in Photoshop and After Effects but when I go to type something using the new fonts its just blank or invisible letters, but if I change to an existing font I can see words. What’s going on with this new font? Please help.

Any chance the new font you are using only all caps? Try typing in all caps and see if it appears.
