Just got Premiere Pro CS5 and noticed that there is a text size
discrepancy of 10px between a comp I rendered in AfterEffects CS5
and Premiere Pro while working in 1920×1080.

For example, I made a still lower third banner comp with a super font size of 70px in AfterEffects.

When I uploaded the comp into Premiere Pro to match the font size, I
had to make the font size 80px to match instead of the ori. I made sure that the size of my image in Premeire Pro was 1920×1080 also.

Is this normal or am I missing a setting in Premiere Pro?

    Thanks for any help!

    It’s a dead-on match for me…

Are you certain there wasn’t any scaling of the text layer in the AE project?

Maybe you could fill in all the details of what you’re doing and then figure out what’s up…

    Thanks Tim,

I found the issue. I was altering an existing lower third banner
from an AE file that was made by a post house for my station.

I just went into the text layer in the original AE file and sure enough, the text layer was indeed scaled to 92%.

The moral is always check the scaling in your text layer for spec comps, especially with someone else’s file.

    Thanks again!
