I’ve run into this before, but I’m in a crunch (imagine that).

I’m using myriad pro within FCS2 and when I use it, the art director has specified NON-italic use of that specific font. Even though the control tab reads “plain”, not “italic”, it shows up as italicized.

If I use motion it works fine, but I don’t have time to use motion since there is A LOT of font.

    PLEASE HELP!

it’s been a long standing problem that the built-in text generators don’t handle font weights correctly. What’s worked for me in the past is if you only need one weight of a font then you can remove the others so FCP can’t use the wrong one. Alternatively use Boris Title 3D which works as expected.
