Hi, I’m currently learning Illustrator and I have a question about font management.

In the application that I’m moving from (Xara) I had a palate that would display all of my installed fonts with the font typeface itself used in each of the font titles. This made it very easy to decide on a font to use for a design. I cant seem to find anything similar, other than the clumsily implemented drop down from the application menu.

Are there any other ways to visualize your font library in Illustrator?

    Thanks, Ethan

Well, within Illustrator the only other thing I know of, besides seeing the font in the drop down/palette menu is to use the Glyph palette. But, that only shows all characters rather than a word in a font.

Suitcase and most other font management apps has a viewer that you can enter custom copy and see the results.
