  Font Folder for AI CS6…?

  I have an OTF font that will not show up in Illustrator. I thought I had dropped into the various Font folders on my iMac. Is there some voodoo with OTF fonts on Mac OSX? I have run into this issue with the titler in Avid, also. Is there some magic folder I am missing so fonts show up in ALL programs? I even found the Adobe Font folder in App Support, that did not do it either.

  Thanks in advance for any advice, I rarely use Adobe Illustrator and am at a loss.

  OSX 10.9.5
  iMac 27″ late 2013
