i’m trying to make a map, like the kind you buy at gas station with multiple folds like an accordion. How can i bend/fold my plane ? I’m trying bones but dont know how to assign multiple bones to points on same plane. I need my bends to be straight. Plus is there a way to “set” or “fix” my points so they bend very linear. OR is this a clothide thing ? Most confused fellas, I have a pretty good basic understanding, but maybe this is over my head–hope not.

    Any help would be great…………thanks

    Hi JR,

Well, you gave me another excuse to whip out a little video tutorial. This covers the process of unfolding a box, but you’ll get the idea: https://www.3danvil.com/box_an/box_animation.html

    Hi Adam,

Sorry to bother you, especially about something from 2005!

I work for a company called Paper Dog (https://www.paperdog.com) and I’m currently trying to make a 3D version of our Origami logo, with little success!

I noticed that you had once linked a video tutorial you had done for a folding box, and I wondered if by any remote chance you still had it? I’m really new to Cinema 4D, so seeing a tutorial for this technique would be super handy.

    Many thanks,
    Helen

    Any luck with your search?
Im preparing something very similar and in the same situation.
Interested if you stumbled across anything else. I was considering Zaxwerks 3d Warps for AE, but it just doesn’t handle the way it should.

Hope you’ve got some insight to share 🙂
