    Hey all,

I think I’m learning how to fly cameras in AE and it’s pretty darn fun!

I have a “montage” of photos on a 1920 x 1080 canvas and I’d like to fly a camera to a specific region of the montage, thus highlighting a specific photo. Then back out of it, and zoom to a different spot.

I have my montage in AE as footage, I’ve created a camera and parented it to a null. I’m mostly playing around with the null, and am having some good results.

One thing I’d like to do, however, is sort of lay the montage “flat” and fly the camera OVER it so it kind of looks like the montage is a “floor” and the camera is sort of moving “forward” across the entire montage.

Could someone help me with some techniques on how to achieve this? I haven’t been able to figure that one out yet. Any other camera techniques you can give me will be appreciated.

    Thanks,!

    WB

Well, rotate the camera’s null about 90 degrees up and move it close to the pictures. This is basically what you are doing.
