  • FLV Output Module in AE7 Pro?

I was under the impression that AE7 Pro was going to give us the ability to batch export to flv through an output module template. I know I can export each individual composition individuall through the File/Export command, but I was able to do that in 6.5. Am I mistaken about this feature? I thought this was one of the big selling points of AE7 and, quite frankly, was the only reason I purchased 7. Can anyone help me out here? Thanks in advance.

The preferences file contains the templates for output modules. Just make a copy.

I’m not sure I follow. What does making a copy of a preferences file get me? My problem is I’m not seeing an FLV option in the output module dialogs. I’m only seeing it in the File/Export menu item.

my bad… thought I was answering another post. As far as I can tell, only export gives your the flash movie option. Help files are no help on this one

That’s correct, FLV export is only through File > Export, and not accessible through the render queue.

The difference is that AE only shows QT plug-ins through the Export menu, and the FLV module bundled with AE7 is the same QuickTime plug-in that you get with Flash 8 Pro.
