I have some footage with flicker which I figure is from flourescent lights and my shutter speed not being aligned. Basically every other frame is a bit lighter. This isn’t an an interlace problem because I’m shooting progressively on an HVX. I already tried the Deinterlace Flicker Fiilter so I know it doesn’t work.

Anybody have any ideas if I can correct this issue in AE?

    Thanks,
    Kenn

If you can afford to buy plug-ins, then Tinderbox 1 (by The Foundry) has a deflicker tool designed specifically for this purpose, and which I’ve used to fix this situation.

AE also has auto-levels, auto contrast & auto colour plug-ins; which if you enable the temporal smoothing should do a similar thing. I think the temporal smoothing setting is in seconds,
