    I’m using a Symphony v5 with Sapphire. Our clients often request the infamous film look, and using the FilmLook Sapphire plug-in I can reproduce film-like grain, exposure and color correction. However at 30fps the final look does not compare to film’s 24fps. We don’t have the budget for Magic Bullet or Cinelook and Nattrass isn’t available for Avid. Does anyone know if we can purchase or download the FluidFilm avx that is available on the Adrenaline. Thanks!

    Why the double-post?

    Hi AlphaChannel (great nick btw!); Sapphire v2 (AVX2 version only, so you need a recent Avid) has an enhancement to FilmEffect that simulates the 3:2 pulldown stutter you’d get if you shot on film and telecine’d to video.

    Just FYI;

    Thanks for the info. I guess there isn’t a viable equivalent to FluidFilm on the Meridians without ponying up for Magic Bullet or Cinelook.

    BTW I reposted because I felt the original post was a little vague…
