I was wondering if anyone had any experience with BOTH of these plugins and can compare the two as which is overall more “complete”/better at extracting hair, transparencies. As well as complex textures such as tree profiles etc…
Thanks this would really help. I heard great things about knockout 5 years ago but hadn’t heard much about it since. Fluid Mask has been getting a lot of attention lately. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.

There is a new one out now by Digital Film Tools, called “EZ Mask”. You may want to give that a try. There is a demo.

I have used both, and Fluid mask is my favorite one.
In my opinion it has more options and I always get an excellent result.
Maybe I haven’t gone deep enough with Knockout2, but I’m happy with my Fluid mask and I intend to keep using it.
