I’ve created a carpet in cinema 4D and have the desired look. I’ve used noise to vary the look of the hairs, but when I animate the floor that the hairs are attached to, the noise seems to float over the hairs in the render. When I keep the solid that the hairs are attached to static, it works fine, but I need to give the impression the floor is moving underneath the vaccum. I’ve attached a video and project file. In the past, if this was happening on a regular model, I’d change the texture to UVW, but I’m unfamiliar with how the hair tag UVW coords work.

Do you have the noise set to use Texture space?

Changed it to 2D UV space and that seemed to do the trick. Had to tweak the noise a bit to get it to look more like Texture space, but think that’s the solution.

    Thanks!
