floating layers on top of animated layers?
Is it possible to attribute properties such as turbulence to layers that are superimposed over other layers in order that they float on top of the layers underneath?

Sounds like you want to use some sort of displacement mapping?

Not entirely sure what this means. I think that you know what I am looking for, an example would be some text floating on water.Cheers
