So, I have looked around but can’t figure out if it is possible to “flip” two clips in my timeline. Now I don’t want to flip the image what I want to do is have two clips next to one another and I would like for the two clips to change place with out effecting the rest of the timeline. Not sure if there is a quick way of doing this.

yes, ther is, it;s b ery simple.
    it;s called “Swapping” in FCP.

pick up one clip (second cip is easier to work with), drag it to where you want it to be,
    now hit OPTION.
the playheasd turns into a hooked arrow icon, and snaping should engage
when you let go of the clip, the two clips wil swap.

give it a go, it’s good.
