Flipboard Magazine: HD DSLR Filmmaking
Hi,
Just a note to folks interested in creating films and cinematic style videos with a HD DSLR (I’m pretty sure that’s you!)
When I’m not chiming in here on the Creative Cow forum for the past several months I’ve been curating a Flipboard “magazine” gathering together articles I’ve discovered and other resources I come across day to day into one convenient place. I don’t think you even need the Flipboard “app” to view the desktop version which you can find at:

Just to be clear I have not included any e-commerce links into any of the content I’ve gathered so there’s no direct benefit to me at all, just something I like to do when I can. The last time I checked, I had over 11,000 “readers” of my mag by which I think Flipboard means total individual viewers and about 40,000 “page flips” – not absolutely sure what that means!
Of course the free app is great too for viewing on either an android device or an ipad or iphone and is what I use 90% of the time. Right now I just focus on HD DSLRs and not micro four third cameras, video cameras, or systems like Black Magic or Red. In my humble opinion, the HD DSLR platform is still the most economical solution to creating great cinematic content but like all technologies it will someday soon be surpassed by camera solutions offering even better images at lower prices.
So have a browse through if it interests you. Unfortunately there’s not a lot of interaction between curators and readers other than liking or flipping content into your own magazine.

Very nice collection of information – obviously carefully chosen. I don’t know whether it’s possible on Flipboard, but a publishing date for each article would be very helpful.

Yeah that’s a feature I wish they had too
It’s pretty basic in what you can do but hopefully it will grow into those

Yeah…it’s certainly a very clean and easy to navigate interface. My mouse wheel does the page flips in either direction.
