  • Flip powerpoint to use in teleprompter?

Posted by Daniel Pennington on December 6, 2009 at 6:56 pm

I have a new teleprompter (DYI) but now I need to get the powerpoint slides mirrored. Obviously I can do this with Photoshop but I’m wondering if anyone has come across an easier way. I have hundreds of slides on a computer and I need to see them on the teleprompter as a mirror image. Any ideas?

    Thanks for responding.

    Powerpoint>export as images> jpeg or TIF>into a new folder.

Photoshop> create batch action> Open>Edit>flip horizontal+save with same name in same folder> save batch action, automate> apply batch to specific powerpoint output folder, takes about a minute or less.

Create new blank powerpoint, import the images from the folder by dragging each image onto a blank slide. Save new presentation. Pray there are no late changes.

Or… buy a scan converter that can do a horizontal flip.

Here’s a PowerPoint plugin that will batch import/export images from a PowerPoint deck — this will make the process Mark described much faster and less error-prone.

Note that it’s built for PowerPoint 2003 and doesn’t support PowerPoint 2007.
