flickering transition
this is probably very easy. but i am new to this program. I’m creating a video by compilling a series of still images. instead of just having the images appear on screen, i want them to flicker into the shot. can anyone point me in the right direction?

A simple way to start would be to set keyframes for opacity (0% to 100%), then use the Wiggler to create random keyframes between them. Play with the Wiggler values until you get something you like, and/or tweak some of the keyframes afterwards to fine-tune the effect.

What do you mean by flicker? The opacity toggles back and forth before making the new clip opaque?

what i mean by flickering is that the image turns on and off rapidly, random and repeatedly for say, 1.5 secs before it stays on. kinda like what happens when you turn on an old flourescent light. i found a way to use strobe light effect to simulate this. is there a better way this this?
