I have an animated globe from Digital Juice that I want to make look like a simplified, heavy stroke cartoon with two flat colors. I managed to isolate the land and water into B/W contrasts and key out one from the other. I put tint, fast blur, and a 6pt stroke on one layer to get the effect I wanted. It looks great, but there is some flicker on the strokes when rendered. Using the cartoon effect rather than strokes makes it worse. I tried the auto-trace, but it seemed to have similar issues. Is there a technique that someone can suggest to control the flicker on these lines?

    Most appreciated,
    Eric

I suggest that your key might not be as smooth as you think. Check the edges of your key, do they dance when you do a RAM preview? If so, you will have to try to refine your key.
