    Hey guys,

I’m editing some older footage shot on a DVX100B.

In a few shots, the highlights are mysteriously flickering. Any idea what it could be? Here’s a sample:

This comes up 3-4 times in 72 minutes of content. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

The only area that seemed to be flickering to my eye was the blown-out spot in the background counter area.

It seems logical to me that might be fluorescent lighting there (based on the simple fact that the under-cabinet lights in my own kitchen are flos). Is that the case? It might be simple phasing coming from the non-continuous source of the flos.

You said this happens several times. What is the setup/environment of the other instances that it happens? In that same kitchen?

    Hey Todd,

Thanks for the quick reply! It’s definitely not fluorescents. It reoccurs at several points–always with blown out highlights coming from the sun. I suspect it may be the autofocus on the DVX100, but I’m not sure.
