    flickering DVD?

    Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me.

    I recently got sent some files on DVD captured from a beta tape. The captured files are .dv files.

    I edited the files (fcp) and everything looks fine on the computer monitor.

    However, once authored on DVD (via compressor and dvdsp) the footage flickers.

    I’m assuming this is down to something to do with fields (as it only happens on a TV monitor) but I’ve tried deinterlacing, different priority of fields and flicker filters.

    Has anyone had a similar problem or know how I might fix it? I’m really desperate!

    I had a similiar problem when my pulldown settings were wrong.

    Thanks Pat. All of this footage has remained PAL though.
