Flicker – Is it to do with shutter speed or hz?
I’m in Europe so the lights are 50hz… so I get zero flicker when I shoot videos on 1/50 and 1/100th shutter.
I was reading the specs of another camera and it shows that some frame rates are ONLY available in 60hz.. will this cause flicker? Currently I get away with shooting 30fps at 1/50th shutter without flicker… but does the “hz” part really make a difference when the shutter is right?
To ask it in another way – which causes flicker, the wrong shutter speed or wrong hz setting when shooting 30fps.

The lights will start flickering when your shutter speed is higher than the frequency (Hz). If your region uses 60Hz, once you get past around 1/60 shutter speed you will experience flickering

Well for example here are the SPECS for the Panasonic GH4 DSLR.

I have circled in GREEN the setting I need to use (30fps @ 1/50th shutter).
However, I circled in RED the “system frequency” of 60 hz….?
So since in the UK the electricity is 50hz… does this mean that because that camera only records 30fps at 60hz that I will still get fluorescent flicker even with the right shutter speed?
