Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy flicker effect

I am trying to layer a flicker effect over still images intending to create a strobing pattern that increases in frequency over time. The goal is that the strobe effect increases in frequency very subtly over the course of 30 to 60 minutes. Modify->Speed would be ideal as I could enter a percentage value, but I can’t modify speed of a track that only contains slug. Any ideas how I might achieve this effect would be greatly appreciated.

What about nesting the track first?

You can also make a quicktime movie of the stills sequence and speed change that.

I’m not sure what you’re trying to do, but “strobing pattern” does raise certain alarm bells. This may not be a problem at all for what you’re after, but it’s worth being aware of the issues surrounding photo-sensitive epilepsy and making sure your insurance is up to date.
