    Hi there, I am currently in the early stages of an animation in which i have various balls of flesh that i want to move around.

    I want these balls to be squashy/mushy etc, so I have been using clothilde tags. The only issue i have is that, though clothilde tags work Ok for say dropping the balls(i.e when they hit the floor i get a nice flex and bulge from them), but what i really want is to be able to move and rotate them around, whilst keeping this reaction with the floor.

    So as i roll one of the balls it would still be bulging and squashing against the floor.

    Does this make sense?

    Anybody have any ideas? I am in dire straits over this!

    If you have R12 studio you might want to use soft body dynamics instead of cloth. Otherwise, you have a couple of options:

    * you can use belt tags/objects to manipulate cloth bodies, and you can animate the strength of the belt tag’s influence parameter to let the stimulation take over;

    * you can use standard particle force objects to manipulate cloth bodies by dragging them into the cloth tag’s Expert>Include box. Then you can animate the particle forces (e.g. the wind object) to move the cloth objects around.

    Hmm, I’m intrigued by this belt tag.
    I was testing out already with the forces, but the way the wind..etc works doesn’t really look right.

    Do you know any good tutorials on belt tags? doesn’t seem to be many that i can find, not that have any information that i can use for this kind of animation anyway.
