I am importing editing exportting in .mov with H.264, Linear PCM, Timecode codec and when i play the exported video in quicktime and vlc it skips. on quicktime or VLC it handles the skipping a little different and it happens at different times. during playback in FCP it has NO skipping. and it tends to only skip a few seconds before or after a new shot. I AM NOT leaving spaces in-between the clips.

any help or suggestions would be appreciated, I’m kinda a rookie in FCP

If you are editing H.264 clips in FCP, that’s probably the cause of your problems. FCP doesn’t like H.264 for editing. You should only use codecs you find in the Easy Setups. Use Compressor or MPEG Streamclip to convert the H.264 to ProRes and edit with that.
