I exported a sequence to flash using Adobe Media Encoder. When I double click to play it back, the Flash Video Player opens with a blank window and nothing happens and even the Macromedia Flash cannot recognize the file created. I then exported the sequence as AVI movie and used the Adobe CS3 Flash Video Encoder, but the same thing happens. What’s happening here? Any missing codec? How can I export a sequence to flash being sure that my client will play it without problems?

Not sure if I understand the issue, but you can’t play a Flash file on a desktop computer without a third Flash player (Try Googling it, there are plenty on the web).

You can’t play it in Windows Media player or any of the other major media players.

It is really meant to be embedded in a flash player on a website. My favorite is Flow Player.

The goal here is place the file on a website and email the link to the client so that you don’t have to email large files or explain to the client why his/her player doesn’t play your particular file.

You could also use Dreamweaver, or Flash to create an all in one html file and folder that can be uploaded to a website, or even played locally. The application will take care of the embedding code for you.

Here’s an article that describes the process with Dreamweaver pretty well.

    Hope that helps.
