A potential client has an intro made with one of those ‘easy to use’ flash programs. Once I get my hands on it I need to import it to AE to use it as part of a project.

I’m illiterate when it comes to Flash. Is it possible to import to AE then do a final output for video?

    It depends,

if the animation is keyframe based in Flash, then you can open it in Flash and export the frames to a Quicktime or a pict-sequence.
You do need Flash though. You can’t just drop a swf or fla on AE.

If the animation is achieved via Actionscript: you’re in trouble.
I don’t know of a way to do a true convert to a movie.

You might workaround it with a screengrab tool that is able to capture animations.
