Flash from Premiere Pro
My machine is a Matrox Axio using XP-Pro and CS3 Suite. I am doing a series of short edits for a client who has asked me to convert them to Flash when done. I have done this and have converted them to Flash using the Matrox Encoder supplied with the software. The extension of the clips are “.flv.” When I try to check these in the supplied Adobe Flash Viewer 9 – nothing happens. It appears that this viewer will only play .sfx files. I am able to play these in my trusted VLC player and I know there are codecs that will allow them to be played on the WM Player but I am confused about Adobe’s native Flash Player. Can someone explain why this player will not play .flv files? Am I missing something? Went to the Adobe site and Wikipedia but cannot find any literature on this mystery.
Anyone has an answer?
