September 13, 2007 at 3:46 pmI don’t have any free ones, but the Nattress ‘Film Flash’ plug-in is my go-to for a cool efx. It has a great film speed change too that works great. $100. for the entire film efx set.

If you don’t have it, download his free ‘G-Reverse’ plug-in. Works like FCP should… but doesn’t.

September 13, 2007 at 4:30 pmHey there…google “too much too soon final cut plugins”. They are free and includes a great flashframe transition effect.

September 13, 2007 at 7:49 pmIf you can still find them somewhere, Eureka had a free one called “Vapor Across” that would probably do what you want. In addition to the flash of white, it will also progressively blow the video out as well on each side of the transition.
Possible Google Eureka and Vapor Across and see if it is still available somewhere.

January 29, 2013 at 4:47 pmPlease tell me how does the TMTS Flashframe transition work? I tried a lot and it drives me little bit crazy now. The exposure (flash) is too much, but when I lower the luma everything gets ugly grey… When I change the end percentage it just moves the scenes cut more to the right :s I also found out that when using the effect only as start of a scene the effect brings a few black frames first. Why is that?
Hope anybody can help, cause I working on a big project and this little thing takes too much time.
The flashes Im looking for should look a little bit like this Oasis video(0:29 en 0:31), although my video is colored.
https://youtu.be/6hzrDeceEKcThanks a lot!

January 29, 2013 at 5:38 pmYeah if you adjust your TMTS flash frame to 6-7 frames and open its parameter settings and make sure for blur type you have “both blurs” selected. Don’t drop luma down or you will get a mute flash. Also check https://www.filmimpact.net they have free plugins including impact flash and it looks like what you may need. There are bloom, blur, and alpha sub color settings in it. Hope this helps. Good luck!
