Flame on: No more free render engine for AE 5.5
I’ve found that AE will no longer render (for free) on more than 2 machines via the “Render Engine.” I’m really cheesed off about this. And the way it sort of “snuck in.” I’ve seen one comment from Adobe that it has “always been this way, but not enforced.” I’d like to point out the CS4 license text:
“Your license entitles you to install as many copies of the render engine as you want on your network, as long as one activated copy of After Effects is installed on that network.”You can find it here:
