Fixing Jump Cuts in Premiere Pro CS6
Hello, I’m a Premiere Pro user, and I have a question.
Is there a way to fix jump cuts in Premiere Pro CS6 such that the two clips in the cut morph in order to reduce the noticeability of the cut? This is very easy to do in Media Composer by using the fluid morph transition. Can this be done in a similar way in Premiere Pro CS6? If not, how do you fix jump cuts in your projects?
All tips are appreciated.

“Dip to White” effect lasting just several frames, kind of looks like a photo flash when done right. But you don’t want to do several of these back to back, sticks out like a sore thumb then. Use in moderation.
Perhaps try reframing one of the images using Motion effect. If for instance you are editing 1080p footage in a 720p sequence, then you could afford to “zoom in” some on the second clip, hiding the obvious jump with the framing change.
Use a very short dissolve of a 3-4 frames. With a talking-head subject, sometimes you can tweak the in and out points of the two clips to where the subject position and facial expressions are similar enough that a very quick dissolve hides the jump to where it’s basically unnoticeable to someone not looking for it.
Many ways to get around jumps, but I like the B-roll suggestion the best 😉

I have heard of people using Re:Vision’s morphing plugin called Reflex.
