  Fixing aliasing in Avid

  Hi all. Just a quick look for advice in how to remove or resolve aliasing in footage using Avid. I sometimes have to use pre-packaged news stories that mix SD legacy media and HD footage, and some of the old footage wasn’t upsampled or converted properly.

  I can’t find a tool or effect in Avid that’s good for anti-aliasing, while FCP and Premiere have them readily available. Is there a trick I could use, like a mix of blur with, uh, changing field order or something? I don’t have the original footage to fix at that level, so just looking for the quick fix if images have jagged or wavy edges.
