Fixed Effect: Motion vs. Zoom
I have two situations: (I can’t remember how I did this.)
1. Have a video clip, a portion of which I want to zoom into. Seems to me I used the motion fixed effect.
2. Have a still (of a geneological crest) I want to start the crest small and bring it to full size, but I want it to dissolve in with less opacity from the distant image to a full opacity. Again, using the motion effect?

Correct.

I think I must have been unclear on one of the points, Aanarav.
I have one still picture and also one still gfx image of a crest.
In the first case I would like to zoom INTO the picture. I’m sure the clip has enough detail that I’m sure I can go to at least 150%.
In the second case, I would like for the opacity to gradually change to a full colour image while the clip zooms forward to full size from a small size. I can accomplish the zoom OUT using the zoom video transition, but can’t seem to have a graduated opacity.
