Fix aspect ratio & exposures
HELP!! I directed my first feature. My cameraman used 2 cameras Panasonic HVX 200 & DVX 100B, we’ve discovered that the aspect ratios are different & the exposures varry. Some shots are too dark. I’ve edited what I have in FCP5, but can anyone tell me if FCP6 can fix the color, exposure issues and aspect ratio problems? If not, is there software out there that can fix it? Thanks in advance.

Most likely. You can probably do it in FCP5 just as well.
For the aspect ratio problems, you’ll have to tell us what the problems are, what was shot with each camera and what you did with the material in your project.
As for the color and exposure problems, it would be hard to teach you color correction in a web message. You really should do some reading of the manual or other training resources.

color correcting I’m reading & watching tutorials. Aspect ratios are different sizes. When I try to expand the size from dvx 100, I’m losing detail.

If you want the output to be HD format then you have to scale it up. If you need SD then scale down the HD material. Better yet don’t shoot with one SD camera and one HD camera, or have the HVX200 switched to record SD as well.
