I have created a shape in Photoshop 7 and want to use it in premiere 6.5 (the shape is a thought bubble). I want video to be displayed inside the shape and not viewable outside this area, as the bubble is then going ontop of other video.

Is there a way to do this?

Here’s one way to do it…
Using the Track Matte Key on the bubble image, targeting a grayscale matte layer using Luma Matte.
    Project File: PP 1.5, 355KB

If you have a problem with the file, let me know.

    Thanks Vince,

Unfortuantely, I can’t open the project file (I am using 6.5). I tried what you said regarding the types of transparancies. I really can’t figure this one out.

    I have the following:

    Video 1 – Surfing footage
    Video 2 – guy on a beach
PSD file of thought bubble. This file is a white bubble with a black outline (or stroke) on a transparent background. The bubble isn’t exactly circular, it has wavy lines. I have also tried getting rid of the white inside the bubble andleaving just a black outline on a transparent background. Neither work.

I need video 2 with the overlayed bubble, which has the video 1 displayed inside.
