May 24, 2012 at 10:58 pmPretty cool! Would love to see if there is any difference in the standard candle test performance with the Classified Edition.
Sounds like you’re not going to be able to close the chassis though. Might be for the better, Mac Pro with a card running that hot needs more room.
You may be able to hack together a shorter power cable, but I don’t know of one you could buy that would fit.
Do pot some benchmarks though. Really interested to hear what the difference in performance is.

May 25, 2012 at 5:24 pmI’ve only briefly read about the candle test. I’ll gladly do it on Mac and Windows if you can guide me in how to do it and what screen shots you want.

September 23, 2012 at 8:29 pmThe idea of a 2 inch custom panel souns good….maybe curved or stealth-style ahah!
I’m just joking, but i’ve to purchase the same card and I’m adjusting the aim to the right one…I prefer to use the 2x 6 pins connectors inside the mac, but I’ve found 2 versions of the 580, one whitout cables, it just reports a power consuption of 244W (sound strange for an acceleration card no???) and the other one whit a 6 pin and 8 pin cables…what does it means??I can decide to use one or other, or I’ve to plug both?? If needs both maybe an adapter cable 6-to-8 could be a solution?? I’m throb for use a screwdriver ahahah! Tnx everybody…This town needs an enema! _The Joker
